Stefan

John listened carefully and nodded, moving to the correct position. He made a face as he saw the needle Kida had. But, he kept calm for Marina. "It's alright, baby," He said and kissed her temple. Kida gave a reassuring smile before placing a piece of cloth that had a specific hole cut on onto her back. "Alright... You'll feel some pressure and a sting, Marina..." She said, mostly for the doctor. She eyed John, letting him know she wouldn't let it hurt Marina.

She cast a spell to make the area numb for Marina, and then injected the needle into the girls spine. She injected the fluid and then pulled the needle out. "There we go... All done. Sorry about the pain," she said with a small smirk. "Lay her on back, John," she instructed. John nodded and smiled thankfully before getting Marina to lay back onto the bed.

Marina looked up to John, and pursed her lips, seeing the face he made. She didn't look back, afraid of seeing the needle, but nodded to Kida, ''Okay...'', she whispered. She waited for the pain, or the stinging, but since there was nothing and she could feel the needle, she guessed that Kida had cast a spell, so she wouldn't feel the pain. She relaxed more, but whimpered quietly, just for the doctor believe she was feeling the pain.

She sighed in relief, glad to be laid back on the bed. The doctor came back, and smiled to her, ''You won't feel any pain from now on, I promisse...'', he assured her and sat by the other edge of the bed. ''Kida, Mr Rolfe, help her seating up... It's time for her to start pushing the baby''

Kida smiled a bit and shook her head before looking towards the doctor. "Alright," she said quietly and went to the back of the bed, pressing a button to raise it so that Marina was sitting upright. "And, your legs go here," Kida gestured to two raised mechanisms that would hold her legs open and apart. John made a face, but shrugged it off and kept a hold on her hand.

Marina giggled a bit when she tried to raise her leg to put them on those mechanisms... ''It's funny... I can't feel or move my legs.'', she murmured to John and put one of her legs using her hand. ''That's normal, Ms Rolfe...'', the doctor assured her with a small smile... ''You'll feel them back in a couple of hours. Are you feeling any pain?'', he asked, while he helped her with the other leg. ''No.'', Marina shook her head... She was feeling nothing from down her waist. ''I'll count till three, and I need you to push him hard, okay?''. Marina nodded, and squeezed John's hand softly, just to check if he was still there... ''Alright. One, two, three... Push, Marina'', he instructed, and Marina groaned softly when he made a big effort to push him... ''That's great Marina... Take a few breaths and we'll do that again, stronger this time''

Marina took the deep breaths, just like the doctor instructed, and she got herself prepared when the doctor told her to push again... And again... And again. After a half hour, Marina was exhausted because of the pushings, but she kept going, mostly because she trusted everyone in that room. ''C'mon, Marina... His head is already coming out. His head crowned'', the doctor informed her with a small smile... ''One last push, Marina, and he'll be out''. Marina nodded and groaned, pulling all of her strenght in that push, making Stefan's little body to come out fully.

Then she heard his cry for the first time. She grinned exuberantly and bent down to see her baby boy for the first time. She couldn't hold back the tears, and cried of happiness, just like when she delivered Damon. The doctor cleaned Stefan's air way and clamped the umbilical cord, ''Do you like to cut the cord, Mr Rolfe?'', the doctor questioned softly.
